Jason Amick has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in painting from the University of South Carolina. Jason continues to paint and exhibit his work.

Melanie Amick has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and minor in Studio Art with a concentration in photography from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Melanie continued her arts education at the University of South Carolina. She worked as a graphic artist for the SC State Park Service and the National Park Service. She has received exhibit training from the Southeastern Museums Conference, the American Association of Museums, the National Park Service, the National Association of Interpretation and the South Carolina Humanities Council.

150watt Design Studio is a member of the National Association of Interpretation (NAI), the Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) and the South Carolina Federation of Museums (SCFM). Work by 150watt Design Studio received multiple awards from the South Carolina Federation of Museums.
